We love to sing

"Sing a song with me, Mommy"
This morning I was changing Anja's diaper.  She was getting annoyed, so I began singing "ABCDEFG..." then all of a sudden...I heard Carter's voice.  He sang with me to the end of the song.  Anja calmed right down.
Then I watched the kids play in Anja's room.  We got our Parent's drum set out.  Carter beat the drums, I had a random noise maker, as did Anja.  Carter started beating the drums and he told us what to sing.  We went from 'Deck the Hall's to 'BINGO' to 'Hinges' to 'Old McDonald' (where Carter would call out which animal to sing when we arrived at that point in the song).  And Carter would sing right along with me...only missing a few words here and there.  Oh, how we love to sing!

Farm Show 2008

We got to attend the farm show with our friends this year...the Thompson's and the Nielson's.  We had seven little children all excited to see the animals.  Once inside, Carter did not want to stand too close.  He kept a good distance.  Anja however, had to be restrained from getting too close to the animals.  The kids had fun climbing into the canoe, Anja loved her finger puppets, and Carter liked posing in the apple.  We were at the huge complex for 2 1/2 hours...and that was plenty for everything we wanted to do!...plus, on our way out....Carter got to milk a cow...and he was a natural (in-spite of how it may look in the picture...he was just trying to say cheese to the camera!)

On Sunday, we decided to finally eat our turkey from Thanksgiving.  We went to the Schriever's house (Clinton's aunt and uncle's house) and so our turkey has been staying nice and frozen in our freezer.  Clinton enjoyed carving into the turkey....while Anja looked forward to eating it.  Though she didn't have a preference to white or dark meat.

We had a fun Christmas morning.  Carter woke up first and we went out to his stocking.  Then Anja got up around 7:45 and she got to her stocking.  We opened presents all morning.  Carter loves his tunnel playhouse!  It's great because it's an easy set up/take down.  The kids enjoyed opening all their gifts and then getting to play with them.  Plus they looked so cute in their matching pajamas...(oh and Anja has great bed-head!)
We all got dressed up for church and we're excited to listen to the music that would be sung during sacrament meeting.  Clinton looked great too (he just happen to be taking the photo).

The family went to a Christmas eve party at a friends house.  We got dressed up all fun for the event.  While at the party, the kids did a puppet nativity.  Carter wanted to the cow, the entire time.  But every time he got up to show his cow, he would yell, "I'M AN IMMIGRANT!....I'M AN IMMIGRANT!"  Then Clinton said, "Carter, it's not Halloween anymore...it's Christmas."  Carter was an immigrant for Halloween...and he really loved his costume!
Carter and Anja enjoy playing together.  These two giggle, giggle, giggle...and that's the way it should be.
