Our Sweet Anja

Anja stops for a moment so I can get a picture of her.
When she feels like it, Anja enjoys posing for pictures.  She has heard Carter say "CHEESE" enough when he smiles that she is starting to do the same.  I got this photo while the kids were playing on the couch.

Swimming Lessons

Carter's 1st Session of Swim Lessons.
We signed Carter up for 2 sessions of swim lessons.  Here are photos and videos from the first session...the middle two weeks of June.  (he is currently completing his 2nd session).  He is in the Tadpole 1 swimming class...ages 3-5.  Carter made the deadline by 1 week.  Needless to say, he was the youngest and shortest kid in his class.  However, that didn't stop him from being a total fish.  He loves the water and his enthusiasm (and sometimes silliness) in the water shows his excitement.
Our proud swimmer on his first day of swim lessons.  He was so excited!
Anja during Carter's swim lessons.  Don't be fooled, she is having a good time...she is eating a lollipop...she just didn't feel like smiling at me.
His swam class as the walked to their jump destination.  Carter is the 3rd from the left.
The last day of class the kids went to the deeper end (not the deepest) and swam with life jackets.  The teacher wanted all the kids to jump in.  Carter was the first to quickly volunteer.  He walked right up to the edge and jumped in.  He loved swimming with the jacket...not being able to touch the bottom.

Carter gives an intro on the last day of swimming lessons.

Carter blowing bubbles and swimming.

Carter being silly in the pool.

Carter practices his swimming...with his teachers assistance.

Good Job Carter with all of you swimming!

A Visit from Oma and Opa

We went to Hershey Park one day while my parents visited. (the pictures are ordered from end to beginning)
The kids were completely worn out by the end of it.  By the time we got to Chocolate World, Carter was out as well.
Carter and Anja love the frog hopper.  I think they went on this ride about 4 times that day.
This is the Convoy.  I didn't realize that if a child is a miniature, they have to have an adult with them.  So, Opa happily sat with Anja.  He had a fantastic time!  Look at that huge smile!...his granddaughter is driving the truck!
Oma rode on the train with Anja.  They had a fun time.
Anja's favorite ride is the carousel.  She LOVES the horses.  Opa stood right by her to ensure she didn't get bucked off.

The visit was lots of fun.  Oma and Opa played lots with the kids, went swimming, Carter even rode a fast roller coaster with Opa.  It was a thrill.  The kids were sad to see them go...and Carter still remembers how he put the sticky things on the bottom of the kitchen chairs and helped Opa to find the wood glue "because he couldn't find it...so I did" Carter will say.  Thanks for a fun trip Oma and Opa!

Carter's Birthday Party

It's been a while since I posted (about a month) but I wanted to put this video up of Carter and his friends, dancing at his party.  We played the game freeze dance...Clinton and I were cracking up.  These boys were hilarious!

Carter's party was lots of fun.  He had a great time.
